Software Project Management (SPM)
Description:
The subject Software Project Management is offered as a 5 ECTS block course in the winter semester. The course consists of a 3 hour lecture in the morning and a processing time of the project management documents in the afternoon. The lecture is held in English or German as required. At the beginning you will work independently in teams and distribute the project roles. The head of the block course is the CEO Prof. Bernd Hindel of Method Park Software AG. During the course, which lasts about 3 weeks, you will be introduced to the different project documents and what you have to consider. Very nice are the practical examples, which show you the different problems that can occur in project management. In addition, there is a lecture especially on project management in Japan which is not exam relevant but very interesting and shows the cultural differences. In the oral exam at the end of the block course you will be asked about one or more project documents. 3 students are tested one after the other for 10 minutes each. For the exam preparation, one should not only learn the theory of the self-made project documents, but of all of them. It is best to create all documents together in a team. However, more time must then be invested.
