Today’s credit cards have a bad reputation in Germany, and rightly so: Complex charges,
tricks in the fine print, and intransparency about interest can lead to poor financial health
and easily end in spiralling debt. We’re building a different credit card – one that is
centered around transparency and control. A credit card that even Germans approve.
Monet will roll out its first smart credit cards in Q4/2021. As we are currently in
stealth-mode, we would like to tell more in person.

Your Role

› You will help to create the technical infrastructure for the financial technology of the
21st century and shape its architecture.
› Depending on your interests and previous experience, you will work with a focus on
backend (Kotlin/Spring stack) or frontend development (React Native/Angular).
› You will work closely with our technology team and the CTO.
› You will be part of an agile development team that focuses on day-to-day progress
rather than requirements specifications.

Your Background

› You have an affinity to finance and technology.
› You have good communication skills.
› You have studied computer science (or possess a similar degree with technical
focus) or you are in a late stage of your studies.
› You work independently, structure your tasks and have a pragmatic approach to
problems.
› Ideally, you have experience with backend technologies or mobile app development.
Scalable software architecture, micro services as well as Kotlin/Java or Javascript
are no alien concepts for you.
› Ideally, you are experienced with CI/CD tools, Hibernate and Docker.
› You thrive in an agile startup environment and you are eager to move things
forward. Creativity, fresh ideas and a passion for cutting edge technology are the
driving force behind your work.
